Android Oreo beta 2 now hitting Galaxy S8 series in U.S

As we know, Samsung is testing the beta version of Android 8.0 Oreo for Galaxy S8 and S8+ handsets. Recently they’ve rolled out the Oreo beta 2 update for S8 beta users in UK. Now this Oreo Beta 2 has been expanded to U.S beta participants. For United States this firmware update will arrive with new software version G955USQU1ZQK6. The download size of this beta update will be 373.65 MB.


What’s new in this Oreo beta 2 version? The second phase includes the October security patch, stability enhancements in DeX mode & Launcher, new clock styles on Always On Display & lock screen, adjustable transparency for notifications and Smart View darks the screen while mirroring to TV. If there are any issues spotted in the previous version that will be fixed by this new update.

Currently Samsung has released the Android Oreo Beta 2 update for U.S and UK. They didn’t disclose whether the oreo beta will be available for other countries. The official android 8.0 oreo roll out for S8 and S8+ users may happen before the end of this year.
