Asus Zenfone Max Plus M1 receives camera enhancement update

Asus has started to seed the first software update for its Zenfone Max Plus M1 (ZB570TL) smartphone. This handset was first released in China on November 2017 and then they’ve introduced to U.S market in CES 2018 event. The new software update for Zenfone Max Plus M1 will come as 14.02.1801.38. The report suggests this firmware is rolling out for U.S units.


The company has officially revealed this update through its zentalk forum and also posted the release notes. Here are the lists of enhancements that are included within this update.

  • Adds HDR and watermark features to camera app
  • Enhances the camera color temp
  • Speech recording function will be improved

These are the changes Asus has mentioned on their official changelog. They’ve confirmed the roll out will happen in batch wise via FOTA. Users need to stay calm and wait for their turn to get the OTA prompt. It’s a server initiated process so it will take some days to reach the device.  You can also check for manual update from Settings > System > System updates.
