BlackBerry DTEK60 officially announced and goes for sale

Finally BlackBerry has made official debut for the flagship DTEK60 android smartphone. Earlier this handset was appeared for preorder at online retailers. Now the DTEK60 smartphone is available at official BlackBerry stores. From now the device will be available in the following countries US, UK, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain. The launch price in these countries will be $499. Soon the company will roll out this secured handset to other countries.


For a limited time the US and Canada users will get free Rapid Charger and Soft Shell accessories. Other countries like UK, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain will grab a free Pocket Case & Rapid Charger. This offer will be available for customers up to November 8.

Compared to previous android devices BlackBerry adds more security features to this device. The company’s Secure Bootloader will protect your device credentials from root hacking and also uses FIPS 140-2 encryption technique to give tough for attackers.


The dtek60 has 5.5-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) AMOLED display, Nano sim slot, android 6.0 marshmallow os, qualcomm snapdragon 820 chipset and quad core processor. It comes with 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and microSD card slot (up to 2 TB). The back and front camera megapixels are 21MP and 8MP.

The camera includes 4K video recording, PDAF sensor, Manual Mode, low light mode and more features. Other connectivity options are fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE (Cat6), Wifi (dual band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Type-C USB and more. It has built-in 3000 mAh battery with 24 hrs of mixed usage time. The device also support Qualcomm’s quick charge 3.0 technology.
