Galaxy S8 Oreo Beta program now available in India

Good news for S8/S8+ users, Samsung has expanded the Android 8.0 Oreo beta programme to Indian market. This beta roll out has been confirmed by the update screenshots. Rumors suggest the manufacturer is pushing the second phase of Oreo Beta for Indian units. Some users are opposing because the Samsung didn’t officially said any news about second phase roll out.


If you own Galaxy S8 and interested to participate in Android Oreo beta program then download the Samsung Members app. Open this app and navigate to Home > Notices > Register For Galaxy Beta Program. Once you’ve successfully completed the registration process, you’re eligible to receive the Beta update.

The beta download requires some manual steps i.e. you need to download the OTA manually from Settings > Software Update > Download updates manually. Only the eligible beta users will get the software update notification, otherwise you want to register for the beta program. The size of Oreo Beta update for S8 will be in 1396.05 MB.
