Recently Google has announced the Android 8.0 Oreo and also rolled out to Pixel range cell phones. Today Pixel owners (running on Oreo version) have received a new software update with a bug. This firmware update comes with the label Android Nougat 7.1.2, but Pixel devices are running on Android Oreo. Is Google asks Pixel owners to downgrade the os version?
Several users have started to discuss this issue on Pixel community forums and also shared the system update screenshot on google plus. Finally the result says it just wrongly labeled version and it doesn’t carry the downgrade OTA. Once you’ve downloaded and installed the OTA, you can check the security patch it will be upgraded to September month. Also the Android Oreo features are not removed it still retain on your device.
