Today Huawei officially unveiled next generation of smartphones in Nova series which are named as Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. They have made these handsets official through launch event in China. Highlights of these devices are premium metal body, u-shaped antenna, dual back camera, 6.9mm slim and more. The company also reveals the price and launch date for Chinese market.
Huawei Nova 2 will be available to buy for 2499 yuan (Rs.23,500 / $364 USD) while the launch price of Nova 2 Plus set as 2899 Yuan (Rs.27,260 / $422 USD). From today interested users can place their preorders. From June 16 Huawei will start the roll out these handsets for preordered users.
Most of specs of Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus smartphones are similar but it will slightly differ in design. The nova 2 has 5-inch Full HD display while nova 2 plus has 5.5-inch Full HD display. Both handsets are equipped with Huawei’s own chipset Hisilicon Kirin 659 and octa core processor. The nova 2 and plus editions are comes with 4GB RAM. Internal storage option for nova 2 model is 64GB while nova 2 plus sports 128GB of storage. Both support microSD card that can be expandable up to 128GB.
Camera options are 12MP + 8MP dual camera lens at back and also has 20MP selfie camera at front side. Other common features are fingerprint sensor, wifi, bluetooth 4.2, Type-C USB, nano sim tray, 3D surround sound, AK4376 audio chip, 4G LTE and more. Battery capacity for nova 2 will be 2950 mAh and for nova 2 plus the battery upgraded to 3340 mAh. The color options are black, blue, gold, green and rose gold.
