January security patch now hits Galaxy A5 (2015), A7 (2016) and S6 Edge

For the past few months, Samsung making their smartphones security stronger by rolling out the patch updates for both carrier and unlocked models. In this line-up the company now pushing the January 2017 security patch for the following devices – Galaxy A5 (2015), Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy S6 edge (verizon). The firmware is now available for download in several countries.

The new build number for unlocked galaxy a5 (2015) and a7 (2016) mobiles comes in A500F1U1CQA1 and A710LKLU1BQA4. But the software version for Verizon’s galaxy s6 edge arrives in G925VVRS4CQA3. Along with this January patch the firmware will also optimize the performance, stability improvement and bug fixes.

As usual Samsung send out this software update for all the above handsets through OTA. The patch update will reach your mobile any time, so connect your device to wifi or mobile data and stay online. Once you have installed the OTA update you can verify the android security level from Settings > About phone.
