LG G5 on AT&T receiving November security patch and KRACK fix

AT&T variant of LG G5 has started to receive new software update in U.S. This firmware will install the November month security patch file on LG G5. It also patches the following vulnerabilities – KRACK WiFi and BlueBorne. These two issues will lead the hackers to control your handset remotely. The build number and software version of this new update will come as NRD90U and H82020q.

It didn’t weigh too much; it’s just 60.4MB size. Also it will not update the android version which still remains at 7.0. Apart from these changes, it will not perform any other updates on this device. As we know the roll out will happen in stages via FOTA.

If you own the AT&T powered LG G5 then you’ll receive the OTA update. You can also try the manual update from Settings > About phone > Software update > Update Now. If it is available download and install it on your device. Otherwise you need to stay calm and wait for official OTA.
