Starting of this week Google has officially released the latest security patch (i.e. March 2018) for its Pixel and Nexus range of devices. Followed by Google, Motorola has confirmed that the March security firmware is on the way for following Moto handsets – Moto X4, Moto G5S, Moto G5S Plus, Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus.
Before the official release, the updated support pages of these handsets are started to surfaces on web. This page has revealed that the software update will just install the March 1 2018 patch for Moto G5 and Moto X series. It didn’t bring any new features or enhancements for these smartphones.
The fact of releasing the security update is to spot and patch the security exploitations on operating system. If the security bugs didn’t fixed means the hackers may access and stole your personal files wirelessly without your permission.
Currently the manufacturer didn’t unveil the build number of this March security patch for Moto X and Moto G5 series. If you own any of these smartphones then check for software updates regularly from Settings > About phone > System updates. Still the Motorola didn’t roll out the security software update, only the support pages are published. Once the update is officially released we will update in our news page.
