Marshmallow update for Sony Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact

After the marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy note 4, Sony smartphone models Xperia Z2, Z3 and Z3 compact gets android 6.0.1 marshmallow update. This news makes Sony users happy in US, Latin America, Middle East, North Africa, Russia, and Ukraine. Still most of the Asian countries didn’t get the Marshmallow update and also many smartphone runs on android Lollipop os. But soon Google will open the gateway for the updates.

This Marshmallow update has android Pay system feature for secured payment. It comes with new silent feature for sound and vibrate mode as well as a do not disturb mode to block all sounds. It comes with new chrome feature that brings new experience in web surfing for android users. Other enhanced or newly added features are camera 2.0 UI, February 2016 security patch update, RAM manager, app drawer, auto backup, and app restore. With this marshmallow update we can use the memory card as internal storage.

According to the third party blog, the update is rolling out only for a few specific variants. The update is currently available for Xperia Z2 (D6503), Xperia Z3 (D6603) and Z3 compact (D5803). This new firmware has build number 23.5.A.0.570.

This Marshmallow update has fingerprint support if the Xperia handsets are compatible to use fingerprint software. This update has automatic backup and restore which helps to backup the apps and data in Google drive. But each and individual app size is 25MB maximum. It has system UI tuner with android run Time.
