May security update available for AT&T S7, S7 Edge and S7 Active

AT&T wireless is now pushing out new software update for Galaxy S7 range of mobiles – Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Active. It will install the latest security patch i.e. May 2017 for these handsets. For S7 and S7 Edge the firmware will arrive in the new build number G930AUCS4BQE1 and G935AUCS4BQE1. The size of the update for s7 and s7 edge will be in 40.5MB and 40.9MB.


While the S7 Active getting this software update as G891AUCS2BQE1 and weighs in 40.4MB. Aside from this security patch it will not add any new features to these devices. It may enhance the performance and fix some spotted bugs. The company will roll out this firmware update via FOTA. To download this OTA update you need WiFi connection to avoid installation errors.  To perform manual update checking head into Settings > About device > Software update > Check for updates.
