Samsung S6 Edge+ and Note 5 on AT&T now getting Nougat update

AT&T wireless started to push Android 7.0 Nougat os for Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge+ mobiles. The update is now live which comes through OTA. For Note 5 users it will come as N920AUCU4EEQC6 (build number). The official changelog notifies download size as 1.57GB but some users got this update in 1.44GB size. The s6 edge+ owners will receive this firmware with the build number G928AUCU4EQC6. The download file for this device weighs in 1.51GB. It will also update security patch level of both handsets to March 1 2017.


The nougat update adds new features like Samsung Pass, Samsung Cloud and removes AT&T apps like AT&T Address Book, MobiTV and AT&T Live. The firmware will also optimize the network performance and rectifies the known bugs. As mentioned the software update arrives in large size so you need WiFi network to download. Before upgrading to nougat os kindly backup your files to storage devices. If your handset eligible for this update you will receive the OTA prompt from AT&T. Also check for the update manually from Settings menu.
