T-Mobile carrier is now officially rolling out the android 6.0.1 marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy S5 users. The latest firmware will update the baseband version of galaxy s5 to G900T3UVU1GPE1 or G900TUVU1GPE1. The tmobile carrier has rolled out this marshmallow update to galaxy s5 customers through Automatic OTA (over-the-air). The download file size is 1020.28 MB (G900T3UVU1GPE1) and 1044.48 MB (G900T3UVU1GPE1).
The samsung s5 user wants stronger wifi connection to download the update. You can also download and install this software using Samsung Smart Switch PC suite from your system. T-Mobile has also updated the change log and instructions to install the update at the samsung galaxy s5 device support page.
As we already know the marshmallow update includes doze mode, google now on tap advanced app permissions, battery life enhancement with app standby and more features. The carrier has also mentioned it will fix the device slowness issue in this handset. Once you have updated the handset to marshmallow confirm the android and baseband version from settings > about phone menus.
Along with this update, Tmobile also released the security update for samsung s7 and s7 edge mobiles. The download size of this update is 42.99 MB. It also updates the baseband version of s7 and s7 edge to G930TUVS3APD8 and G935TUVU3APD8. It includes google security update, performance enhancements and bug fixes. You can download this update through OTA or Samsung smart switch pc suite.
