Twitter has updated its apps for Android and iOS. This update provides the app with the ability to display local Trends. On December 2012 the Twitter introduced local Trends in more than 160 countries. The update for the iOS version of the app also has improved playback for videos uploaded to Vine. But this was not in the Android version of the app.The update already provided for the Android completely overhauled the user interface.By this update the new user interface follows the Holo Android style guidelines better than the previous UI. The user can now swipe to switch between the Home, Interactions, Discover and Profile tabs. The user will need to tap and hold a tweet to bring up the menu, which will allow you to Retweet or Favourite it.
The update also provides iOS users a access to Twitter Cards. These cards consist of embedded information that pop up within a tweet. When you click on a tweet then the drawer opens up and that has some content. Tweets with additional information currently have an extra icon with details about the content.
