YU Yunicorn with fingerprint sensor unveiled in India

As earlier teased Micromax sub-brand YU has unveiled a redefined flagship mobile in India named as YU Yunicorn. They have launched this smartphone at a live event in India. This handset is made with full metal body design and also has slim finish sides. This smartphone is exclusive to flipkart online retailer. The flipkart is also accepting the registrations for this flagship handset at their site. The registered users can grab the handset on June 7 (first flash sale). The release price of this handset in India is Rs. 12,999. The retailer will also provide more offers to this device on its first day sale.


The yunicorn handset has 5.5-inch FHD display with 2.5D curved glass finish. It runs on android 5.1 lollipop os, 1.8 GHz octa core processor and Mediatek Helio P10 chipset. It equipped with 4GB RAM, 32GB on-board storage and an expandable microSD card slot. It has 13MP main camera with PDAF sensor and 5MP selfie camera. It houses Fingerprint sensor (embedded in home button) which also allow users to store 5-fingeprints and secure payments. Other preloaded features are wifi, bluetooth 4.1, Around UI 2.0, GPS, 4G LTE, micro USB 3.0 and more. It has 4000 mAh (non-replaceable) battery with 17 hrs of video playback and 20 hrs of talk time. It will be available in two optional colors rush gold and rush silver.
